ii. Personal details
Information such as your name, title, email address and mailing address will only collected by this website with your consent through our Contact Form. Information you provide to us by any other means when in connection with contractual engagements will be covered under the terms of the contract as agreed to and signed by all relevant parties to the contract.
iii. Information we may collect from third parties From time to time we may obtain information from third parties relevant to our business objectives, for example events management companies running events in our chosen industries. In such cases, you should be made aware when you provide your personal information to the third party that they may or will share your personal details with companies such as ours. Please review the relevant privacy information provided by third parties when you give them your personal details.
3. How do we use this information?
Your personal details will be used for:
- Fulfilling requests you make of us, for example requests for more information or a demonstration;
- Relevant marketing purposes, including sending you communications that we believe will be of interest to you (known as “Legitimate Interests”; see 4. below)

You will be given the opportunity to opt-out of our emails with an unsubscribe option that will appear at the bottom of each of these email communications.
4. Legitimate Interests
Under the General Data Protection Regulation which came into effect in May 2018, there are a number of reasons why it is lawful for us to use your information. One of these is if we have a genuine and legitimate reason to do so, as long as by doing so we are not harming any of your rights or interests. This is known as a Legitimate Interest, and more information can be found on the Information Commissioner’s website, here. In practical terms, this means that before we use your information (3, above), we will carefully balance our right to use your information with any potential impact on you and your rights. Therefore, if we are communicating with you, it is because we have assessed your likely interest in Datactics, our company, products and services, and established that it is reasonable for us to be in contact with you. We will always provide you with the opportunity to let us know if this is no longer the case, through a link to our opt-out form here or by contacting us at the details at the top of this page.
5. Who has access to this information?
We will never sell your information. We may, however, share your personal information with our third party partners where this is deemed to be in your legitimate interest (see 4) for us to do so. Where a third party uses this information to contact you, they will be acting as the “Data Controller” and we would therefore advise you to read their privacy policy. We will not release your information to third parties who are not our partners unless required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.
6. How long will we retain this information?
We will retain your information for as long as is necessary to fulfill our purposes set out in this Policy unless you request that we stop processing or retaining it, or unless a longer retention is required or permitted by relevant law. Please see section 7 below for instructions on how to ask us to stop processing or retaining your information.
